The Deams Opinion
The key is to transform the ‘support mentality’ into a ‘buyers’ mentality, not a easy task but you can start by providing your fans with more than just music.
Make them connect with the person behind the artist, supply them with visual products to promote your music and brand, give them a reason to attend your shows, using your music as a tool.
Have a concept behind your merchandise, every product has to reflect your music, brand and image at all times. And never be afraid to be yourself but I will discuss this in the next blog.
To make a long story short, make fans get visual images in their minds by just listening to your music, create a movement which they feel part of, build a relationship with your fans.
Eventually the ‘support mentality’ will transform into a ‘buyer’s mentality’ because it’s more than just music.
Like I said before, the music will always be the main thing, but if it sucks it won’t matter how big or how creative your marketing & promotion campaign is.
But to each his own of course, if you’re happy with your current state in the music scene, by all means continue.
You can’t expect to please other people if you’re not pleased in the first place. In blogs to come I will share some of the strategies my team and I used with the release of The Legacy EP, and how we managed to get promo on a total of 952 international websites and blogs.
But for now, if you want to rise above the surface think more than just music.

Kids these days are spoiled do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn't work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in the world did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no internet or message boards or FAQ's. We just figured it out. Today's kids are soft.
Its the samething with music back in the days to look for that album that was hard to find going all over the country to search for that one record.
It was fun hanging out at the music store it was like a day out.
And back in the days some records was hard to get and is now easy to find because of the world wide web and i think that kind of sucks.
And if you are a real fan of an artist buy the music original in that way you support them otherwise fuck off.

So.. artists need to be more creative to survive. If you can't teach the kids, teach the artists…
Music altimes had a cultural function en as said kids these days need to be teached on theire way back to humanity and advantually to joy love and live by respecting it in first place-only music can do it-going right through your venes and its up to upgrown adult artists to share theire experiences,show responsebility and get this generation back on love track to save the world.Thinking about the turning energie(2012)it's better to work on it instead of getting hit from behind then.Working out finally slavery and leave it in the past is an important base for the changes that come,if you agree or not.Stay positiv en never forget to bring out your prayer for love.
